When should my Bernese Mountain Dog start vaccinations?

Most Bernese Mountain Dog puppies start their first DHPP between 6 and 8 weeks in the US, or 6 to 9 weeks in the UK and EU. Use the form above with your puppy's age and country to see the next-due date.

When can my Berner start long walks?

Short walks start after the final puppy vaccination (given at 16 weeks or later), when your vet says protection is in place. Long-distance walks, running, jumping, and stair work wait until your vet confirms growth is finished, at about 18 months.

Should my Berner get titer testing later?

Many vets offer it for adult Berners in place of repeat boosters. Discuss it after the first-year series is complete.

Are Berners prone to vaccine reactions?

Not specifically. The standard DHPP schedule applies. The bigger Berner concerns are orthopedic and oncologic, not vaccines.

Same schedule for a Bernese Mountain Dog mix?
