Common questions about Bulldog vaccinations
When should my Bulldog start vaccinations?
Most Bulldog puppies start their first DHPP between 6 and 8 weeks in the US, or 6 to 9 weeks in the UK and EU. Use the form above with your puppy's age and country to see the next-due date.
Why is the brachycephalic flag relevant for my Bulldog?
Bulldogs can react more strongly to closely-spaced injections and to anesthesia. Vaccines themselves are fine; if your pup is sluggish or sore after a shot, ask your vet about spacing.
Should my Bulldog get split visits?
Some vets default to that for Bulldogs after a noticeable reaction. The vaccine schedule is the same; visit spacing widens.
When can my Bulldog start active play?
After full vaccination at around 16 weeks. Bulldogs overheat easily, so keep play sessions short, especially in summer.
Same schedule for a Bulldog mix?
Yes for the core vaccines. DHPP and Rabies are identical for purebreds and mixes. Non-core vaccines depend on lifestyle and region, not breed. The schedule above works for any Bulldog mix.
