The basics

Is Flok free?
Yes. Core features are free on iOS. No ads, no data sold. Optional premium features may be offered as paid add-ons later.
Which pets does Flok support?
Dogs and cats today. More species are on the roadmap. If you're hoping for a specific one, email info@flokpetapp.com.
Which platforms does Flok run on?
iPhone today. Android is on the way. There is no web app; the website is informational only.
Do I need an account to use Flok?
Yes. An account is how we sync your records across devices and back them up. You can sign in with Apple, Google, or email.
Does Flok replace my vet?
No. Flok organises your pet's records, routines, and check-ins so you and your vet can make better decisions together. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or treat.

Getting started

How do I add my pet?
In the app: tap the plus, add a name, species, breed, and a photo. Thirty seconds. You can add more pets later or share the profile with household members.
Can I import records from another app?
If your other app exports PDF or CSV, upload them into Flok and the Document Scanner reads them and files each record under the right pet. Direct imports from specific apps are on the roadmap.
I adopted a pet without full medical history. Can I still use Flok?
Yes. Start with what you know today and fill in the rest as you learn it. Ask the shelter or the previous owner for anything they have. Flok has a place for everything when it shows up.
What if I just want to try it without giving my data?
You can browse the app and try the onboarding without an account. To save anything, you'll need to sign in. That's also when we back it up.

Records and the Document Scanner

Can I share records with a vet who does not use Flok?
Yes. Export a PDF of the full record or a single vaccination card in seconds. Any vet can read it; no account required on their side.
What languages does the Document Scanner read?
Most major Latin-script languages: English, Polish, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese. Cyrillic is coming. Accuracy is best with clearly printed documents.
Is my document sent to the cloud?
Yes. Scanned images are processed via the Google Gemini API to extract text and structured fields. See the Privacy Policy for how data is handled and retained.
How accurate is the extraction?
High on printed vet cards and clean receipts. Handwritten notes and faded documents are harder, so Flok always shows you what it read, and you correct before it saves.
What happens to my records if I cancel?
Your records stay with you. You can download everything as a PDF archive before deleting your account. We retain nothing beyond the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.
Does Flok replace my vet clinic software?
No. Flok is the pet parent's record, a parallel file that follows your pet across vets, cities, and countries. It does not replace a clinic's own system.

Routines, reminders, and the Daily Quiz

Does Flok work across timezones and travel?
Yes. Reminders follow the device timezone and the routine stays with your pet wherever you go.
What happens when I miss a check-in?
Nothing dramatic. Flok quietly logs the miss. You see it in the weekly view so you can tell whether it's a one-off or a pattern.
Can I set reminders for specific medications?
Yes. Add the medication with dose and schedule. Flok reminds you per dose. Missed doses show up on the routine timeline.
What happens if I miss a day of the Daily Quiz?
Nothing. Flok doesn't punish missed days. The timeline simply has a gap. What matters is the trend, not the streak.
Can I customise the quiz questions?
The six core questions are fixed to keep the timeline consistent over time. You can add a free-form note to any day for anything specific.
Does the quiz replace a vet consultation?
No. The quiz is a pattern-spotting tool for you. It helps you arrive at the vet with a week of data, not a guess.
Can I share the Daily Quiz timeline with a vet?
Yes. Export the last 14 days as a PDF and share from the app. The vet sees trends, not just a single data point.

Households and multiple pets

Can I have multiple pets in one account?
Yes. Each pet has their own profile, records, and routine. Switch between them in a tap.
Can I mix species in one account?
Yes. Dogs and cats today, more species on the roadmap. Each pet keeps its own rhythm.
Can I share access with another household member?
Yes. Invite household members to a shared pet profile. Everyone sees the same routine and records and can check in. Floky shows who did what.
Does Flok remind me about shots and boosters?
Yes. You get a gentle heads-up a few days before each vaccination is due.

Privacy and your data

Is my pet's data private?
Yes. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Where is my data stored?
Primarily on EU servers. Some service providers (Apple, Google) process data in the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The Privacy Policy has the full map.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. We delete your data within 60 days, except billing records kept for legal reasons.
Does Flok sell my data?
No. Never. This applies in California, the EU, and everywhere.

Billing and refunds

Are there paid features?
Optional premium features may be offered as paid add-ons. The core Flok experience is free on iOS.
How do I cancel a subscription?
All subscriptions are billed through the App Store. Cancel from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Flok cannot cancel an Apple subscription on your behalf.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are processed by Apple. Use reportaproblem.apple.com.
