Common questions about Bengal vaccinations
When should my Bengal start vaccinations?
Most Bengal kittens start their first FVRCP between 6 and 8 weeks in the US, or 8 to 9 weeks in the UK and EU. Use the form above with your kitten's age and country to see the next-due date.
My Bengal is more active than most cats. Does that change the schedule?
No. FVRCP and Rabies timing is the same. What matters more for active or supervised-outdoor Bengals is the FeLV decision: outdoor access shifts FeLV from optional to recommended.
Does my Bengal need FeLV?
If your Bengal has any outdoor access, leashed walks, or contact with other cats, yes. Indoor-only Bengals can usually drop FeLV after year one, but the active-cat lifestyle often warrants keeping it.
Are Bengals more sensitive to vaccine reactions?
Not specifically. Bengals follow the standard FVRCP schedule. Watch the injection site for a day or two as you would for any cat.
Same schedule for a Bengal mix?
Yes for the core vaccines. FVRCP and Rabies are identical for purebreds and mixes. Non-core vaccines (FeLV, FIV) depend on lifestyle and region, not breed. The schedule above works for any Bengal mix.
